Sofía was appointed Abstracta’s US Chief Executive Officer at the start of 2015.
With a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Sofía was Abstracta’s technical consultant in application performance optimization, system monitoring and load testing for the corporate sector for many years. With a solid background in performance tuning and automation, Sofía has become a business development leader and is responsible for managing all aspects of Abstracta’s US operations.
As Abstracta’s Performance Guru, Matias has over 10 years of experience in software testing, especially performance and automated testing. He has spoken at more than a dozen tech events and was the head of a Software Testing Course at one of the leading Uruguayan universities. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering and is a co-founder of Abstracta. Matias has been involved in more than 50 performance projects, optimizing and tuning systems in C#, C/C++, Java, GeneXus, and also has expertise across SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and IIS.
With a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Fabián has over eight years of experience in corporate consulting as well as software testing research and development. He has been involved in development and testing projects since 2005, working as an analyst, tester and project leader. From 2010 to 2012 he was the GXtest Product Manager (an automation tool for functional testing on the GeneXus platform) evangelizing test automation best practices in more than ten countries. From 2012 to 2014 he was the COO of Abstracta and is currently CEO of Monkop, a cloud-based platform for Android mobile testing, released in February 2015.
Federico has enjoyed an outstanding professional, institutional and academic career across Latin America and Europe, having taught 15 different university courses, spoken at more than 20 high profile technology conferences and authored more than 20 publications. Federico wrote one of the first publications in Spanish on practical aspects of software testing. He earned a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (in Spain) and has over 10 years of experience in IT consulting, research and testing, all related to the field of technology development.
Kalei graduated cum laude from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Business Administration. She has several years of marketing experience from working for software companies and marketing agencies. She enjoys analyzing data, creating content, and disseminating it throughout the software testing community. She manages Abstracta’s inbound marketing activities.
